Michael Wheelwright is the Managing Director and Co-founder of Holistic Finance, a values-driven Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm. With a career in finance that began in 2003, Michael brings over two decades of experience, combining deep technical knowledge with a passion for ethical, client-centered financial planning. Prior to co-founding Holistic Finance, he served as COO of Student Loan Tutor, where he helped thousands of borrowers across the country navigate the complexities of federal student loan repayment, becoming one of the nation’s foremost experts in the field alongside founder Zack Geist. Michael’s work is grounded in a commitment to social and environmental regeneration. Outside of finance, he is known for his leadership in environmental advocacy and regenerative agriculture, as well as for his talent as a musician and community builder. He splits his time between Salt Lake City, Utah and the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, where he lives with his wife Maomi and their two sons at the Rainbow Bridge Hawaii intentional community & healing center.
